Pomfret-Avoli Fry with Vegetables is a famous fish dish in Kerala where the whole Pomfret fish is used. Pomfret/avoli is marinated in a mixture of soya sauce, pepper powder, other ingredients and later deep fried.

Instructions
  1. For preparing pomfret/avoli fry with vegetables, first grind the following ingredients: pepper powder, garlic, ginger, soya sauce, vinegar and required salt to a fine paste.
  2. Make slits on both sides and apply the ground paste evenly on both sides. Marinate for 3 hours in a refrigerator.
  3. Meanwhile, heat some oil in a pan and fry onions, capsicum, carrot, green chillies and celery to a golden brown color.
  4. Add some salt and remove the veggies from pan.
  5. In another pan, heat some oil and deep fry the marinated fish until done. Remove the fried fishes from pan.
  6. Place the fried pomfret in a serving dish and decorate the sides with fried veggies.
  7. Pomfret/avoli fry with vegetables, a yummy dish, is ready. Serve hot and enjoy.
