Potato Masala Curry – Perfect Side Dish

Instructions
  1. Cut potatoes into cubes and set for boiling with a pinch of salt and turmeric powder.
  2. Heat very little oil in a pan or a kadai.
  3. Fry poppy seeds, cinnamon, cloves and fennel seeds. Keep it aside.
  4. Fry onions till golden brown.
  5. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute.
  6. Add 3/4 of the bunch of coriander leaves, tomato, chilly powder and coriander powder.
  7. Grind all the fried items together along with coconut to a fine paste.
  8. :- Do not fry coconut.
  9. Mix this masala with the boiled potatoes and set to boil, until the potatoes and the masala is cooked well.
  10. Season with finely chopped onion, mustard, curry leaves and coriander leaves.

Hi.I must say, i tried this recipe and it was outstanding!! I had cooked a chicken curry too but this is what my whole family ate ignoring the chicken dish!! too good 🙂
