Rice
white rice/basmati rice

Water

Onion
chopped

Curry leaves
1/2
tsp
Turmeric powder
1
tsp
Chilly powder
Asafoetida powder
A pinch, kayampodi
Salt
As reqd
Mustard seeds
A pinch, kaduku
Instructions
Pour
water
in a vessel and add cleaned rice.
Close the lid and cook for 10 minutes in light medium fame.
Heat
oil
in a pan and put
mustard seeds
. When it crackles put
onion
and
curry leaves
. Saute it. 4)Lower the flame, add
potato
cubes, little
water
for boiling and
salt
. 5)After
potato
is cooked well, add
turmeric powder
, chilly powder and kayam podi.
Simmer in low flame until
water
dries up completely.
Add cooked rice into pan and mix well.
