Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Walnuts chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup All purpose flour Maida
  • 100 g Butter
  • 2 nos Eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 2 tbsp Cream cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Rum extract
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Shortening semisolid fat used in food preparation
  • 1 cup Color cherry chopped

Instructions
 

  • First beat butter and shortening together.
  • Add sugar and beat till fluffy.
  • Now, add eggs one by one beating simultaneously. Stir in vanilla and beat again.
  • Sieve flour with baking powder. Add the sieved flour, cream cheese and milk alternatively and mix well.
  • Finally, add walnuts, color cherries and mix well.
  • Transfer the cake mix into a greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 325 degrees for 80 minutes.
  • Pound cake with walnut, a delicious tea time snack, is ready.
