Usually i make chicken majboos, so this time it was prawns as main ingredient. It was awesome, rice and prawns cooked in a pot with authentic masalas and the slight tangy taste of dried lemon. It was delicious. Marinated prawns are shallow fried in oil and mixed with the rice finally. Some crushed prawns are cooked with rice and the gravy of onion, tomatoes, ginger, garlic and spice powders that ended up in a rich flavored spicy yummy moist biriyani like, arabic majboos. Serve it for lunch or dinner with fresh veg salad
Marinate the cleaned prawns with red chili powder, a pinch of turmeric powder and salt. Heat 2 tbspboil in a pan and fry the prawns just till done. Keep it aside.
Heat oil in a bottom thick vessel and add crushed gingergarlic and sliced onion.Saute till soft and light brown in colour.
Add sliced tomato and green chilly,saute for 4-5 minutes in medium flame
