100 g Ladies finger1 cup Coconut (grated)1 no Red chilly3 nos Green chillies2 tsp White gingelly (Velutha ellu)1 piece Jaggery1 tsp Mustard seedsUrad dal (Few, Ulundu parippu)Asafoetida (A pinch, Kayam)Tamarind (Size of a gooseberry)1 tsp Turmeric powder2 tsp Coconut oilSalt (As reqd) For preparing pulipachadi - brahmin special, soak tamarind in water and squeeze the juice. Cut ladies finger into slices and boil it in tamarind water. Add turmeric powder and salt.Roast gingelly. Then grind the grated coconut with green chillies and roasted gingelly with sufficient quantity of water.Add the ground mixture to the second step(ladies finger) and boil for few minutes.Add jaggery and asafoetida.Fry mustard seeds, urad dal and red chilly in coconut oil.Add this fried mixture to the fourth step.
