Instructions
  1. Cook dal in 3 cups of water.
  2. Cook pumpkin in 1/2 cup water.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard.
  4. .when mustard splutters add fenugreek seeds , urad dal and redchilly.
  5. Add sambhar powder and curry leaf , saute for 2 minutes.
  6. Mix together cooked pumpkin ,onions tomatoes asafoetida and tempering in a vessel.
  7. Add cooked dal also to this. Boil for 5 minutes till it becomes little thick.
  8. Now hot pumpkin sambhar is ready to serve with hot rice.
