Instructions
  1. Wash mutton and add turmeric to it.
  2. Chop onion and tomato roughly.
  3. Add the mutton and the cut onion, tomato and garlic into a pressure cooker and fill with water, till the mutton is three-fourths covered.
  4. Cook upto 2 whistles on a medium flame.
  5. Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  6. Add the contents of the cooker along with pepper powder and cumin powder.
  7. :- Freshly ground is better.
  8. Add salt.
  9. If the mutton is not completely cooked, cover the pan with a lid and keep on a medium low flame, until its cooked. Or else put on medium high flame and allow the water to evaporate..
  10. :- Serve with rice or rotis.
  11. :- Do not open, until the steam subsides in the cooker. :- If you don`t have pressure cooker, you can boil. :- You can adjust the gravy level by waiting for the excess water to evaporate or choose a gravier recipe. :- If you are unsure of the water - little excess water is fine but not too little water.
