Quick N Tasty Tomato Korma Tasty tomato korma for dosai or chappathi 4 nos Ripe tomato (cut into pieces)2 nos Onion (finely chopped, medium)4 nos Shallots (Kunjulli)4 nos Green chilliesGinger (A small piece)4 nos Garlic pods1 bunch Curry leavesSalt (As reqd)Water (As reqd)1 cup Grated coconut5 gm Poppy seeds (Khashakhasha)1/2 tsp Turmeric powder1 1/2 tbsp Coriander powder1 tsp Garam masala powder2 tbsp Coconut oilCoriander leaves(finely chopped) Grind together shallots, ginger, garlic pods and green chillies with a little water.Heat oil in a pan or kadai.Add the chopped onion and saute well, till it is softened.Add the ground mixture into it and saute well, till the raw smell leaves.Add salt, coriander powder, turmeric powder and the garam masala powder.Add tomato pieces and mix well, till the oil clears. Add a little water and cover with the lid. Keep it on low flame for 5 mins.Grind the coconut and poppy seeds together.Open the lid and pour the coconut mix along with a little more water.Allow it to boil well.Switch off the flame. Garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves.:- Serve hot with chappati or dosai. Kerala

hi …thanks fr the nice words. yeah..healthwise u can definitely use refined oil..but since it`s kerala cuisine only, i preferred coconut oil.
this a wonderful dish..tasty and easy to make too. i had it with idli..really good. looking foward to more of this kind
