Instructions
  1. In a bowl, add ragi flour, rice flour, salt and mix well. Then add yogurt, 1 tbs oil and mix it well with your fingers. It should look like a bread crumbs.
  2. This is the right consistency.
  3. Then place these mixture in idli plate and steam it for 10 minutes
  4. Take a pan, heat oil. saute it with mustard seeds, channa dal, red chillies.
  5. Then add the finely chopped onions with little salt. cook till it becomes slightly brown in colour.
  6. Add Turmeric powder and mix well
  7. Now add the steamed ragi mixture and mix well. Cook for two minutes.
  8. Ragi Upma is ready. Serve it with chutney, sambar or an gravy as per your wish
