  • Mustard(as needed) -
  • Toor dhal(optional)(black gram can also be added if desired) -

Instructions
  1. Chop onions, cut chilli length wise and clean the curry leaves
  2. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard and wait till spurts. Then add the toor dhal and fry till the color changes to brown
  3. Add the chopped onion, chilli , curry leaves and salt and sauté for 2 minutes.
  4. Add water
  5. When the water boils add sooji
  6. Keep stirring, else the sooji will not mix well and be like small balls. Let it cook for about a minute.
  7. Serve with chatni, sauce or sugar
