It is a tasty north Indian curry we can eat with chappathi and rice.Dal tadka is the most important dal recipe served in all Indian restaurents.

Instructions
  1. Wash and clean toordal.
  2. Cook toor dal for 5 minutes in a cooker,ie 3 whistles.After that put off stove.
  3. When steam gone we can open the cooker and keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai add mustards.When mustards splutters add cumin seeds and red chilli saute for 2 minutes.
  5. Add green chillies,saute for a minute.
  6. Add coriander powder,chilli powder saute for a minute.
  7. Add garlic flakes and turmeric powder and saute for 2 minutes.
  8. Add cooked toordal to this masala add 1/2 cup water and salt boil for 2 minutes,until it becomes thick
  9. Now dal tadka is ready to serve.
