  • Gram flour(Kadala podi) - 2 cups
  • Rice flour(Ari podi) - 2 cups
  • Chilly powder - 3 tbsp
  • Asafoetida powder(Kayam) - 2 tbsp
  • Butter - 100 gm
  • Salt(As reqd) -
  • Oil for frying -

Instructions
  1. Mix together rice flour, gram flour, chilly powder, asafoetida powder, salt and butter.
  2. Take a little of this mixture and add water to it to get a dough like consistency.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai or a pan.
  4. :- To test if the oil is hot enough, drop a pinch of the dough into it. If it sinks, the oil isn`t hot enough. If the dough springs to the top with bubbles all around it, then the oil is ready.
  5. Take some of the dough and pass it through the special ribbon pakoda strainer into the hot oil.
  6. Deep fry till Ribbon pakoda turns golden brown.
  7. Keep flipping the sides till the ribbon pakoda is done.
  8. :- Store Ribbon pakoda in an air tight container.
  9. :- Enjoy the Ribbon pakoda.

This receipe was really good and i made it twice. Its mouth watering. There is no fault with the receipe. If it doesnot come out well then there is a problem with the maker and not the one who had posted the receipe.
