While soaking sabudana pearls take care of the soaking time. It depends on the type of pearls, some more, some less. Just cover the pearls with water for a few minutes and you are done. Sabudana Kichadi serves as a perfect evening snack, very healthy and comforting. Soaking the sabudana pearls in water makes makes it soft. You can press a pearl with your thumb to check if it is soft. If any hardness exists, it shows that the pearls should be soaked for some more time. Sabudana is rich in carbohydrates and starch, so it is a good source of energy. But it has high glycemic rate and hence stated harmful to people with diabetics if taken in large quantities.
