Sadhya Avial Palghat style tasty avial Elephant yam(Chena) Raw banana(Pachhakkai)Drumsticks(Muringakkai)CarrotBeansWhite pumpkin1/2 cup Yellow pumpkin4 spoon Curd1/2 tsp Turmeric powder8 nos Green chillies1/2 tsp Cumin seeds (Jeerakam)1/4 of Coconut4 sprigs Curry leaves2 spoon Coconut oil Cut all the vegetables into long pieces.Boil all the vegetables with a little water along with turmeric powder and 4 green chillies.When it starts to boil, add curd.Allow it to boil again.Grind togther grated coconut, tthe remaining green chillies and cumin seeds into a coarse form.When it becomes thick, add the ground mixture and mix well.Switch off the gas.Garnish with curry leaves on top.Pour a little cocunut oil too.:- For more sadhya items, see my other sadhya recipes.
