Instructions
  1. For preparing sambar pongal, wash toovar dal and raw rice in water.
  2. Cut carrot, potato and drumstick into small pieces.
  3. Grind coconut, red chillies, chana dal, coriander seeds and cumin seeds. Soak tamarind in water and squeeze it out to make tamarind water.
  4. Add toovar dal, rice and vegetables into tamarind water.
  5. Cook the item in pressure cooker.
  6. Fry mustard seeds and curry leaves in coconut oil and add to the mixture.
  7. Sambar pongal - Sambar Rice is ready.
