This is a typical Kerala traditional recipe which you can normally find in almost all Kerala restaurants and homes. This recipe can be considered as a side dish for lunch. Very less ingredients have been used to make this delicious recipe.

For marinade:

  • Clean the sardines and make deep gashes on both sides
  • Mix all the ingredients for the marinate
  • Coat the fish with the marinade and keep for 15 minutes
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the fishes......turning it once after one side is fried well
  • Serve as accompaniment with boiled rice or as it is.

Notes

Same marinate can be used for frying any fish.
