  • Rice(boiled with grains separated) - 250 g
  • Sesame seeds(Ellu) - 2 tbsp
  • Red chilies(broken into bits) - 4-5 nos
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves(Few) -
  • Pepper corns - 6-8 nos
  • Split Bengal gram(Uzhunnu parippu) - 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida powder(A pinch, Kayam) -
  • Salt(As reqd) -
  • Ghee(As reqd) -
  • Cashew nuts(fried) - 1 1/2 tbsp

Instructions
  1. For preparing sesame rice, fry the sesame seeds, pepper corns, split bengal gram and asafoetida powder in a little ghee and grind to a fine powder.
  2. Heat 1-2 tbsp ghee in a pan, add in curry leaves, rice, powdered mixture and salt along with lemon juice. Mix well.
  3. Sesame rice is ready. Garnish with cashew nuts and serve hot.
