  • Fresh bacon(minced) - 100 g
  • Gruyere cheese(grated) - 30 g
  • Potato(peeled and chopped) - 1k g
  • Onions(finely chopped) - 2 nos

  • Pepper powder(As reqd) -
  • Nut meg(As reqd) -
  • Parsley(finely chopped) - 3 springs

  • Milk - 100 ml

Instructions
  1. For preparing shepherd`s pie with bacon, cook the potatoes in salt water. Drain it and keep it aside.
  2. Fry onions, garlic and parsley in 15 grams of butter.
  3. Add in the minced bacon and allow it to cook for 4 minutes on low flame.
  4. Then add in minced beef, pepper powder, salt, parsley and the cooked potatoes. Mix well.
  5. Preheat the oven at 220 degrees celsius.
  6. Make a puree by blending milk, salt, pepper powder, 70 grams of butter and nut meg.
  7. Spread a layer of this puree at the bottom of a pie dish. Then alternate layers of the filling and puree. Save enough puree for the top layer.
  8. Sprinkle gruyere cheese and remaining knobs of butter over it.
  9. Bake it in the oven for 20 minutes.
  10. Shepherd`s pie with bacon is ready.
