Sivappu Keerai Masiyal

Sivappu Keerai masiyal is definitely a best way of cooking the green leafy spinach varieties. This dish is one of the super healthy food.

Ingredients
  

  • Sivappu Keerai 1 bunch
  • Onion 1 no.
  • moong dal 1/4 cup
  • coconut 1/4 cup
  • green chilli 2 no.
  • cumin seed 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil 4 tsp
  • mustard 1/4 tsp
  • broken urad dal 1/5 tsp
  • curry leaves 4 no.

Instructions
 

  • finely chop the onion
  • chop the sivappu keerai
  • soak the moon dal in water for 10 mins
  • make a fine paste with coconut,cumin seed and green chili
  • heat the oil in the pan and crackle the mustard, broken urad dal
  • add onion and saute it
  • now add sivappu keerai and mix well
  • add salt, coconut paste and moong dal and mix well
  • add 1 glass of water and allow to cook for 10 mins
  • cook until sivappu keerai get cooked well
  • now sivappu keerai masiyal is ready to serve, serve with cooked rice
