Instructions
  1. For preparing snake gourd/padavalanga with potato, saute the vegetables: snake gourd, onion and potato in hot oil for 5 minutes and add required salt.
  2. Make a fine paste of green chilly, garlic and cumin powder.
  3. Fry red chilly in hot oil and add the ground paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, curry leaves and 1 tbsp of water. Fry for a minute.
  4. Add the tomato and cooked vegetables. Mix well and add salt, sugar and garam masala.
  5. Pour 1/2 cup of water and cook covered for 5 minutes.
  6. Transfer into a serving dish and pour the melted butter over it. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  7. Snake gourd/padavalanga with potato, a balanced as well as fibrous vegetable, is ready.
