Soya Bean Gravy

Soya Bean (Soya Nuggets or Mealmaker) is an excellent source of protein and has a lot of health benefits too.This gravy is medium spicy so its suitable for kids too. Soya Bean is tasteless and has a tendency to absorb any flavour that it is cooked with so I always spice it up with strong spices to make it more flavourful.

Instructions
  1. Chop the onion, tomato and green chili
  2. par boil the soya bean/ chunks by adding salt
  3. heat the oil in the pan and temper the cumin seeds
  4. saute the onion for 3 mins until the onion turn the colour
  5. add tomato and green chili and mix it
  6. add ginger garlic paste and mix it
  7. add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and methi leaves and mix it
  8. allow to cook the masala
  9. add curd and mix it
  10. add soya bean / chunks and mix it
  11. add besan flour and mix it
  12. add required water for gravy and allow to cook
  13. cook until the gravy becomes thick consistency
  14. now soya bean gravy is ready, garnish with coriander leaves and serve with puri
