Soyachunks Tomatobath

There are probably many recipes for tomato rice. This is a south Indian recipe for tomato rice (bhath) adding Soya chunks that really like every one.

Instructions
  1. Chop the onion, green chili and coriander leaves
  2. soak the soya chunks in water for 20 mins and filter the water
  3. make tomato as puree
  4. heat the oil and ghee in the cooker and temper the bay leaf, aniseed, fennel seed, cinnamon and clove
  5. saute the onion and green chili for 5 mins until the onion change the colour
  6. add coriander leaves and mix it
  7. add ginger garlic paste and mix it
  8. add tomato puree and mix it and allow to cook for 2 mins
  9. add red chili powder, garam masala, salt and turmeric powder and mix it
  10. add soya chunks and mix it
  11. add soaked rice and mix it
  12. allow to cook for 2 mins in medium flame
  13. add 4 cup of water for 2 cup of rice and close the lid and allow for 1 whistle
  14. now soya chunks tomatobath is ready to serve. serve with raitha
