Instructions
  1. For preparing special spicy mutton curry, first cut the mutton into small pieces. Bones need not be discarded. Cut the tomatoes into fine pieces. Split the green chillies lengthwise.
  2. Add the turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, red chilly powder and one tea spoon of salt to the mutton pieces and leave to marinate.
  3. Add all the ingredients of spicy paste to a blending jar and grind into a fine paste.
  4. To a deep bottomed pan add ghee and heat. Splutter mustard seeds. Add the onion pieces, split green chillies and fry till the onion pieces turn brown.
  5. Add the tomato pieces and allow to simmer till the volume of tomato pieces reduce to about one fourth and total ingredients blend well into a homogeneous mass.
  6. Add the spicy paste and fry till raw smell is gone. Add the marinated mutton pieces and enough salt and stir fry well.
  7. Add two cups of water, mix well and simmer in medium flame until the mutton pieces are cooked well.
  8. Serve hot.
