Spicy Kerala Fried Chicken Chicken marinated in spices and fried 2 lbs Chicken (cut into small pieces)2 nos Onion (thinly sliced)2 sprigs Curry leaves4 nos Green chilliesOil for deep fryingFor marination:-1/4 cup Onion1 no Egg3 tbsp Ginger3 tbsp Garlic4 nos Green chillies1 sprig Curry leaves2 tbsp Lime juice2 tbsp Soya sauce1/4 tsp Turmeric powder1 tbsp Chilly powder2 tbsp Coriander powder1 no Cinnamon (Karugapatta)3 nos Cloves (Grambu)3 nos Cardamom (Elakka)1 tbsp Fennel seeds (Perinjeerakam)1/2 tbsp Pepper corns (Kurumulaku)1/4 cup Cornflour1/4 tsp Ajinomotto (optional)Salt (As reqd) Grind all the ingredients for marinade in the food processor until smooth.Pour this over the chicken pieces and let it marinate overnight or atleast 5 hrs.Heat up the oil in a pan.Fry the marinated chicken pieces in it till chicken turns golden brown.After all the chicken is fried, heat up the same pan with the remaining oil.Fry the thinly sliced onion, curry leaves and green chillies till crisp.Mix the chicken with the fried onion and curry leaves.:- Serve hot.
