Instructions
  1. For preparing spinach cutlets, heat 2 tsp oil in a pan.
  2. Add onion, ginger and garlic. Fry till it becomes light brown. Then add the spinach and stir. Add salt to taste. Cover and cook.
  3. Once the spinach is cooked thoroughly, remove it from the flame and let it cool.
  4. Take a bowl and smash the potatoes. Then add the cooled spinach, garam masala and bread crumbs. Mix well.
  5. Make medium sized balls or patties out of this mixture.
  6. Make a thick batter by adding maida, pepper powder, salt asafoetida, egg and a little water. Mix well to avoid lumps.
  7. Heat oil in a pan. Once it is hot, dip the spinach balls in the batter and deep fry in hot oil.
  8. Spinach cutlets is ready. Serve this healthy recipe hot.
  9. Tip: 1)Always put less salt in spinach based food items. Spinach itself has salt. Once cooked, its salt will come out. Then the dish will be too salty.
