1/4 cup Bengal gram flour (Kadalapodi)1 no Onion (finely chopped, medium)1/2 of Tomato (finely chopped)2 nos Green chillies (finely chopped)Salt (As reqd)Black gram(Uzhunnuparippu) Mustard seeds Oil Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan.Add 1 tsp of urad dal and mustard.After the mustard crackles, add the onions and green chillies and fry the onions till pale and transparent.Add the chopped tomato and cook until the tomato is mashed well.Add a little salt just enough for the onion and tomato.Add water to this just to cover the onion and tomato and let it get cooked.Meanwhile, add 1 cup of water to the bengal gram flour with a little turmeric and salt enough for this mixture.Mix well such that the bengal gram flour gets blended well in the water.After the onion and tomato mixture gets cooked, add the gram flour solution to this and keep stirring well until the mixture thickens.:- This tastes great with chappathis.
