Coconut
grated
Asafoetida
A pinch

Coconut oil
Salt
As reqd
Instructions
For preparing
tamarind
/ puli thogyal - brahmin special, roast urad dal and
red chillies
for few minutes in
coconut oil
.
Add grated
coconut
and
tamarind
to the roasted item and grind the mixture by sprinkling
water
in such a way that the mixture is in semisolid state.
Add
salt
and asafoetida.
Tamarind
/ puli thogyal - brahmin special, is ready. This is used as a side dish while molaguttal kootan is prepared.
