Instructions
  1. Make a paste with ginger garlic paste, red chilly powder and salt.
  2. Marinate the chicken with the above paste for 1 hour.
  3. Heat up oil in a pan.
  4. Fry the chicken in it till done and keep it aside.
  5. Grind 2 green chillies and cashews to make a paste and keep it aside.
  6. Heat up oil and ghee in a pressure cooker.
  7. Add cinnamon, cloves, 2 green chillies, brinji leaves and fry well.
  8. Add chopped onions and 1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste and fry.
  9. After 3 mins, add the cashew paste to it and fry them for about 5 - 7 mins.
  10. Add the chopped tomatoes and pudhina to it and fry for 2 mins.
  11. Add 2 cups of coconut milk and 1 and a half cups of water (for 2 cups of basmathi rice).
  12. Add 1 tsp of red chilly powder and salt to it.
  13. Add the rice into the cooker.
  14. Allow it to boil for 3 mins.
  15. Add the fried chicken into the cooker.
  16. Mix them well and close the cooker with the lid.
  17. Cook upto 3 whistles.
  18. :- Serve hot.
