  • Rice - 1 cup
  • Water(no need for extra, as veggies will leave some water) - 2 cups
  • Salt - 1 ½
  • Onion - 1 no
  • Cloves(Grambu) - 2 nos
  • Cinnamon(Karugapatta) - 1" piece
  • Bay leaf(optional, Karuga ela) - 1 no
  • Small red chilly - 1 no
  • or -
  • Green chilly - 1 no
  • Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Mint leaves(Pudhina) - 4 nos
  • Frozen vegetables or fresh vegies of our choice - 1/4 pack
  • Saffron(A pinch) -

Instructions
  1. Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a rice cooker.
  2. Fry onion, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, chillies, mint and garlic until aromatic for about 2 mins.
  3. Add the rice, water, veggies, saffron and salt.
  4. Close the cooker and let it cook until it turns off to (Keep Warm÷.
