Tandoori Pomfret
Pomfret
fish marinated in a mixture of lime juice, chilly powder, curd, other ingredients and cooked in a grill

washed and drained,
Pomfret
/Avoli

Red chilly powder
1/2
tsp
Garam masala
1/2
a
Lemon juice
Tandoori color
A pinch, optional
1/2
cup
Curd
thick
1
tbsp
Gram flour
Kadala mavu
1
tsp
Ginger
paste
1
tsp
Garlic
paste
Chat masala
A pinch
Oil
For brushing
Salt
As reqd
Instructions
For preparing tandoori
pomfret
, first make deep incisions on both sides of the fish.
Rub the
pomfret
with a mixture of red chilly powder,
garam masala
, lemon juice, tandoori color(optional) and keep aside for 20 minutes.
Mix together curd,
gram flour
,
ginger
paste,
garlic
paste, chat masala, required
salt
and stir in marinated
prawns
.
Cover and refrigerate the
prawns
for 3 hours.
Place the marinated
pomfret
in a grill rack and cook for 10 minutes to drain off excess marinade.
Brush the fish with
oil
and cook again for 15 minutes until golden brown in color.
Tandoori
pomfret
, a yummy mouth watering recipe, is ready. Serve hot with lemon and
onion
slices.
