Tapioca Bonda

Tapioca Bonda is a traditional healthy south indian style bonda recipe made from tapioca root. Tapioca is cooked and mashed and made into small balls and dipped in besan batter and deep fried. It is perfect as an after school snack or as an appetizer.Bite sized tapioca balls is another version of Mysore Bonda; which is made with boiled potato.

Ingredients
  

  • Tapioca 2 no.
  • onion 2 no.
  • green chili 4 no.
  • coriander leaves 3 tsp
  • ready mix bonda powder 1/2 cup
  • salt to taste
  • oil to deep fry

Instructions
 

  • peel the tapioca and cook it
  • mash the tapioca
  • chop the onion and green chili and add to the mashed tapioca along with coriander leaves and mix it
  • make it as small ball
  • in a bowl add ready mix bonda powder and water and make it as thick batter. if required add salt
  • dip the balls and deep fry it in oil
  • now tapioca bonda is ready
