  • Gram flour/Basen - 3 tbsp
  • Asafoetida(A pinch, Kaayam) -
  • Chilly powder - 1/4 tsp

  • Curry leaves(finely chopped) - 3 springs
  • Hot oil - 1 tsp
  • Oil(As reqd) -

Instructions
  1. For preparing tapioca mukki varuthathu, cook tapioca in hot water and drain it.
  2. Slice the tapioca in 2 inch pieces. Keep it aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix in rice flour, basen flour, asafoetida, hot oil, salt, soda powder, curry leaves, chilly powder with a little water to make a batter.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Dip the tapioca pieces in the batter and fry it.
  5. Tapioca mukki varuthath is ready. Serve with tomato sauce or chutney.
