Thengai Podi - Brahmin Special
Fried urad dal, fried
coconut
and other ingredients are mixed together and powdered

About 3/4 size of lemon

Asafoetida
Kayam

Jaggery
powder
Sharkara

tbsp
Coconut oil
Salt
As reqd
Instructions
For preparing thengai podi - brahmin special, first fry urad dal and
red chillies
for a few minutes in
coconut oil
.
Fry grated
coconut
separately in
coconut oil
till it becomes brown in color.
Grind the 1st and 2nd step together by adding
tamarind
, powdered
jaggery
,
salt
and asafoetida.
After grinding, mix it well.
Thengai podi - brahmin special recipe is ready. Can be used as side dish with dosa, curd rice etc.
