Instructions
  1. Separate the leaves from stem and wash them thoroughly.
  2. Chop them finely and keep them aside.
  3. Soak tamarind in water.
  4. Wash red gram dal and put it in a pressure cooker along with chopped thotakoora leaves and cook for 20 mins(3 - 4 whistles).
  5. Heat oil in a pan and add all the ingredients of seasoning. Fry them for a few minutes till the black gram turn into light brown.
  6. Then add the cooked dal mixture into it and mix well.
  7. Add tamarind pulp and salt to it.
  8. Cook for a few minutes.
  9. Sprinkle curry leaves.

Now, what is Thotta-koora??? Can I know what is it called in either English or Hindi or Tamil or Marathi??? Sounds yummy dish. Would like to try it!! 🙂
