Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan.
  2. Add the chopped tomatoes, grated carrot, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, rasam powder and pepper powder and saute for 1 minute.
  3. Cover the pan and cook on medium flame for 5 mins.
  4. Mash/blend the above mixture.
  5. Boil the above mixture with 3 cups of water and tamarind pulp for 3 - 4 mins.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves and switch off the stove.
  7. Heat oil in another small frying pan.
  8. Add and fry the seasoning ingredients like mustard, cumin, red chilly, curry leaves and 1 garlic pod until done.
  9. Add it to the rasam and keep covered for 5 mins.
  10. :- Tasty and nutritious rasam is ready which tastes good with white rice.
  11. :- Serve it with papad. This Rasam is really good for people/kids who are picky eaters.
