Jeerakam

Jaggery

Roasted peanut powder
Asafoetida
A pinch, Kayam
Oil
As reqd
Instructions
First heat
oil
in a pan, fry
onion
,
garlic
,
cumin seeds
,
jaggery
, chilly powder and tomatoes.
Grind the mixture when it cools.
Heat tawa, splutter mustards seeds,
cumin seeds
, asafoetida and
curry leaves
. Add
garam masala
and ground paste and stir for a few minutes.
Add little
water
and
salt
. Mix well and add roasted peanut powder. Cook for a minute.
Tomato
chutney in Maharashtrian style is ready. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
