Tomato & Red Capsicum Chutney

Tomato
& Red
capsicum
combo

Tomato
cut into pieces, medium

Capsicum
cut into pieces
4
nos
Green chillies
1
tsp
Cumin seeds
Jeerakam
3
nos
Garlic
pods
optional
1
tsp
Mustard seeds
1
tbsp
Oil
1
tsp
Black gram
Uzhunnuparippu
Curry leaves
A few
Tamarind
A gooseberry size quantity, Puli
Salt
As reqd
Instructions
Heat
oil
in the pan.
Add the tomatoes & fry for 4 mins.
Add
capsicum
,
green chillies
,
tamarind
and
garlic
and fry for another 5 mins until everything is cooked.
Add
salt
to taste.
Cool down completely.
Grind in the mixie to a coarse consistency.
Tranfer to a vessel.
Prepare a seasoning with
oil
,
mustard seeds
,
black gram
,
cumin seeds
and
curry Leaves
.
Pour this seasoning on the top of the ground mixture in the vessel.
:- Serve with idlis & dosas.
