Tomato Theeyal Tomatoes in fried coconut gravy 500 gm Tomatoes1 cup Onions (diced)8 nos Green chillies1/2 cup Oil2 cups Grated coconut6 nos Dry chillies (Kollamulaku)1 tsp Coriander powder1 tsp Turmeric powder1 piece Cinnamon (Karugapatta)6 nos Cloves (Grambu)5 nos Cardamom (Elakka)Salt (As reqd)For seasoning:OilCurry leaves (A sprig)1 tsp Mustard seedsSmall Onions(sliced) (A few, Kunjulli) Cut tomatoes into big pieces and slit the green chillies. Cook tomatoes, green chillies and onions in 2 cups of water. Fry all the other ingredients (except turmeric) along with coconut till brown in colour. Add turmeric and pour into the curry and leave it to simmer.Season the curry with fried onions, curry leaves and mustard seeds in oil.:- Serve hot. Kerala
I think the recipe didn`t mention about grinding the fried stuff. That must be the reason it become a tragedy with one of the cooks. Otherwise it should be good.
it was a big disaster . pls give proper instructions for the recipe so that we dont waste time making such dishes
