Instructions
  1. For preparing traditional kerala puttu, first mix salt with lukewarm water. 2)Sprinkle this to the powdered rice to make the powder wet.
  2. For making puttu a special steaming vessel is used named puttukutti.
  3. Put a tablespoon of grated coconut in the puttukutti and then put 2-3 tablespoons of moist rice powder. Repeat till it is filled.
  4. Close the lid and steam it for 2 minutes. Serve it with kadala curry or a combination of sugar and bananas. Traditional kerala puttu recipe is ready.
