Instructions
  1. Cook the dal with enough water, salt, turmeric, garlic and green chillies in the pressure cooker until dal is soft and mushy.
  2. Heat 1/2 the ghee in a pan.
  3. Fry the minced pearl onions until soft.
  4. Add the curry leaves and saute.
  5. Add the cooked dal and bring to a rapid boil.
  6. Add the coconut powder and cumin powder.
  7. Add water to your like and adjust the seasonings.
  8. When it boils well, remove from fire.
  9. :- Serve with rice and papad and top with remaining ghee.
