For Udipi Rasam Powder / saaru powder:
  • Coriander - 2 tblsp
  • Red chili - 3-4
  • Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek - 1/4 tsp
  • Coconut - 2 tblsp

Instructions
  1. For rasam powder roast all items which given in ingredient table with coconut oil and grind
  2. Boil toor dal and keep aside
  3. Now in a pan add toor dal and add tamarind water and chopped tomato and cook till tomato soft
  4. Now add Udipi rasam powder and bring to boil and salt. if its thick add more 1/2 cup water
  5. Now add jaggery and in other pan temper all item given above and pour in saaru
  6. Now its ready to serve Udipi Rasam / Saaru
