Umm Ali | Arabic Dessert

Ingredients
  

  • 8 Slices Bread
  • 500+500 litre Milk
  • 1/4+1/4 Cup Condensed milk
  • 1/4+1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Nuts and raisins
  • 5 g China grass
  • 1/2 Cup Milk powder

Instructions
 

  • Crush the nuts.
  • Add some chopped black raisins, also you can mix in your favorite nut mixture.
  • Take a sauce pan and add 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup condensed milk and 1/2 cup milk powder.
  • Pour 500 litre milk and mix well. Stir continuously and boil it.
  • Break the bread slices into small pieces and dip it in the milk mixture, then layer it into a pudding tray like shown in the figure.
  • Sprinkle some nut mixture on its top.
  • Repeat the milk dipped bread slices layer.
  • Again put some nut mix on top. Keep it in the refrigerator until the final layer gets ready.
  • Boil the remaining 1/2 litre milk by adding sugar and condensed milk.
  • Melt the soaked China grass in 1/2 cup water. Pour it into the milk through a sieve. Mix well and turn off the flame.
  • Let the milk mixture cool down and pour it over the bread pieces. Garnish it with the remaining nut mixture and refrigerate it for 4-6 hours. It’s delicious and easy to make! Enjoy.
