For preparing the delicious chammanthi dish, first clean prawns and remove head and tail.
Dry roast prawns, coconut and chillies separately. While frying take care that the ingredients do not get burnt. Burning of ingredients will destroy the taste and flavor of the dish. Fry in low heat.
Prawns should turn golden brown and crispy. Add a tsp of oil while frying chillies. First coarsely powder the prawns. Keep it in a plate. Mix together coconut, shallots and chillies in mixer. Coarsely powder them.
