  • Grated coconut : 1/2 cup -
  • Red chili 4 no. -
  • tamarind small piece -
  • Salt to taste -
  • asafoetida 1/2 tsp -
  • Oil : 2 tsp -

Instructions
  1. take Urad dal, Red chili, Tamarind, Coconut
  2. heat the oil and fry the urad dal
  3. fry until the urad dal get golden brown
  4. add red chili and asafoetida and fry it
  5. add tamarind and grated coconut and mix it and turn off the flame
  6. allow to cool
  7. add to mixi and make a paste by adding water
  8. Urad dal / Ulundhu thugayal is ready
