Vada Dosa

Easy to make dosa - A different type

Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup Par bolied rice/Idli rice/Par bolied ponni rice
  • 1/3 cup White rice
  • 1/3 cup Kadala parippu and sambar parippu
  • 3 tbsp Black gram Uzhunnu
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds Uluva
  • 4 - Small onions Kunjulli
  • 1/3 cup Coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 1 - Green chillies finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Asafoetida powder Kaayam
  • Salt As reqd
  • Gingelly oil or any other oil spray you prefer though gingely oil tastes best

Instructions
 

  • Soak rice, fenugreek seeds and dals together for 4 - 5 hrs.
  • Grind all together just before making dosa.
  • Add salt and asafoetida powder.
  • Add finely chopped onion, coriander leaves and green chillies only just before preparing dosa.
  • Mix with the ground batter.
  • Make dosas in a non stick pan just the same way you make other dosas.
  • Brush with gingelly oil on both sides of dosa.
  • :- Make sure both sides are cooked.
  • :- Enjoy with sambar or white coconut chutney. Tastes best when hot. Always enjoy hot.
