Vazhaipoo Briyani

Plantain flower( Vazhaipoo) is a healthy one for all. Women are suggested to intake Vazhaipoo once a week.. Vazhaipoo is mainly famous for vazhaipoo vadai in tamil nadu. I have tried vazhaipoo biriyani and it turned out very tasty. You can also try and enjoy it!!!

Instructions
  1. clean and wash the vazhaipoo
  2. In a pressure cooker heat the oil and ghee and temper the aniseed, bay leaf, clove, cinnamon, cardamom
  3. add sliced onion and green chili and saute it for 3 mins until it turn into golden brown
  4. add ginger garlic paste and saute it
  5. add chopped tomato and mix well
  6. add mint leaves and coriander leaves and mix it
  7. add vazhaipoo and mix it
  8. add curry masala powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well
  9. add required water for rice into ratio of 2: 1 and allow to boil
  10. once the water get boiled add rice, mix it and allow for 1 whistle
  11. now vazhaipoo briyani is ready to serve
