  • Wash and cook basmati rice (by adding little salt) till it is 80% done.Drain the rice and keep it aside.
  • Heat ghee/oil in a large pan and splutter cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and bay leaves.Add sliced onion and saute till it is golden brown.
  • Mix chopped vegetables along with some salt and saute till it is cooked :-(keep it in a low or medium flame while sauting).
  • Add cooked and cooled rice, garam masala and pepper powder and mix well to get a uniform mixing.
  • Keep it in a low flame for 15 minutes and remove from fire.
  • :- Fried rice is ready to serve.
  • :- In this fried rice, you can add more vegetables of your choice.And If you want to make this a non veg fried rice, you can add scrambled egg(or you can add beaten egg to the cooked vegetables and scramble it) or cooked mince chicken / prawns (cook chicken/prawns by adding little salt, pepper powder and garam masala) or any other non veg according to your taste and creativity.
