10 nos Ladies Finger (Vendakka)1 lemon Tamarind (Puli)2 nos Tomato2 spoons Chilli powder1/4 spoon Turmeric powder10 nos Small onion (Kunjulli)4 nos Garlic pods1/2 of CoconutCurry leaves (As reqd)Salt (As reqd)1/2 spoon Mustard seeds1/4 spoon Fenugreek (Uluva)1/2 spoon Cumin seeds (Jeerakam)Oil (As reqd) Cut onion, garlic and ladies finger into pieces.Heat oil in a kadai.Splutter mustard seeds.Saute fenugreek seeds and cumin seeds.Add onion, garlic and ladies finger and fry well.Make tamarind paste using 2 cups of water and add to it.Grind coconut with tomato and add to it.Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and required salt and cook well.When the raw smell goes down, add curry leaves to it. instead of jeeragam, sombu (perunjeeragam) can be substituted. Adding a little curry masala and coriander leaves will makes this curry yummy.
