Vengaya Kuzhambu Small onions(Kunjulli) curry 15 nos Pearl onions (sliced, Kunjulli)6 nos Garlic pods (sliced)2 nos Green chillies2 nos Tomato1/4 cup Grated coconut1/2 tsp Turmeric powder1/4 tsp Chilly powder1/4 tsp Coriander powderTamarind (size of small lemon, Puli)For seasoning:1 tsp Coconut oil1/4 Cumin seeds (Jeerakam)1/4 tsp Fenugreek seeds (Uluva)1/2 tsp Mustard seedsCurry leaves (A few) Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.Splutter mustard seeds.Add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and curry leaves.Add onions, green chillies and garlic.Fry well, until golden brown.Add tomato and fry, till the tomato blends well.Add tamarind water and allow it to boil.When it starts to boil, add turmeric powder, chilly powder and coriander powder.When all the ingredients get cooked well and start emiting a nice aroma, add the coconut milk.Allow it to boil for a few more mins. ma hubby loves onion very much and he loved it..
i added a little bit of vinegar because the curry wasnt having pulippu eventhou i put puli, but it tasted even more good.
